Where has the year gone? The holidays are here
and it seems just yesterday it was 100 degrees. Now we
complain about the cold!
The double show with the Southwest Club was very
successful and, as usual, a lot of fun. Our thanks to all the
exhibitors who made it so. It is difficult to do another show
so close to the Nationals and we do appreciate all those who made
Linda Virgin decided
that the Saturday night costume class was not big enough, and
rounded up riders and costumes to make up a spectacular class.
Thank you, Linda.
The local newspaper had
a front page article on the show the week before and the crowd was
bigger than usual. The Boy Scouts put a tremendous effort into
the show as it is the primary fundraiser for their troop.
Cathy Dawson is especially grateful for the boys they provided to
run the results to the announcer. After four days on her feet
at the Nationals, maybe she should have a golf cart next time!
Heartfelt thanks to
Verne Albright, our announcer; the Maxwells, the best barn
superintendents in the world; Dick and Roberta Kirby, gate and show
stewards; Jack Green, for photos and an authentic biker costume: and
Naomi and Frank Scull, show secretary and "Tell me what you need and
I'll do it " guy. Thank you all for making the show so much
fun and easy to do!
