The Lone Star Peruvian Horse Club is just one of the many reasons Texas is called the "friendliest state in the Union." Made up of people who love their Peruvian horses and enjoy the company of others who share their passion, the club sponsors trail rides, seminars, and the largest Peruvian horse show in the United States, the Lone Star Peruvian Classic.

Formed in 1985, The Lone Star Club has grown into one of the most stable and successful Peruvian clubs in America. With over 100 members, the club has been nurtured over the past fifteen years by Cheryl Aldrich and Terry Ellis, who have served on the board since its inception. Cheryl and Terry have always been willing to accept the tremendous responsibility and work involved in maintaining a successful organization, while Roberta Ellis is the show chairman of the successful Lone Star Peruvian Classic horse show with a "little help from her friends".

The Lone Star Classic, which is held the last weekend of October every year, has a Halloween theme that just seems to set the mood for fun and a great time with friends. Loved by children and adults alike, the show is always the best attended in the nation, drawing the finest Peruvian horses from all over the U.S.

If you have never attended a Peruvian horse show, we’d like to extend to you the invitation to come join with the "friendliest folks in Texas" for a great time and the world’s greatest horses.
