Our cover this issue features the stallions of Pecan Valley Ranch in Weatherford, TX, owned by Luis and Jeanelle Dapelo. Pecan Valley Ranch horses can always be found in the winners ribbons at regional and national shows. Known for their stamina and gait, they are in demand from both trail riders and show competitors. Pecan Valley mares can be found in the foundation stock of Peruvian horse breeders across America. GG Senegal, our breedís Medallon de Plata Stallion for 2008 and 2009 is featured on the cover of this issue. Owned and bred by Terry and Roberta Ellis of Green Gate Ranch in New Ulm, TX, Senegal has taken the South by storm, winning every major regional show in the southern section of the U.S. This top Peruvian breeding stallion is shown with his trainer Eber Garayar.
